Hello, I’m Anirban!

I’m a Senior UX Designer at YouTube, where I spend my days making video creation a little more intuitive and fun. Before this, I’ve designed things at Contentful, Samsung, ThoughtWorks and Cognizant, collecting industries along the way like Pokémon cards.

I come armed with a background in Visual Communication Design and Media Studies, which is a fancy way of saying I care deeply about how things look, feel, and make sense. Over the years, I’ve worked across everything from luxury retail to banking, travel, and content platforms.

My work spans both enterprise systems and consumer products, from scrappy, localised solutions for emerging smartphone markets to large-scale digital transformations for luxury fashion brands. The goal is always the same: make things useful, usable, and maybe even a little delightful. My “secret formula” (not actually secret) is combining creativity, craftsmanship, curiosity and fostering an environment of great collaboration. .

Outside of work, I draw and write. A large body of my personal work revolves around LGBTQIA+ and women rights. I care about creating a more inclusive, equitable world, and I believe design and the people behind it, has a role to play in getting us there.
